Mission Statement

Project "Hope" is a mission of the “Unshakable Hope” bible study group at Trinity United Methodist Church in North Myrtle Beach, SC. The mission is to honor and show our gratitude for first responders and their families. We will reach out to these families that have made the ultimate sacrifice or have been permanently disable in the line of duty. We hope to provide a stress free and fun filled vacation in Myrtle Beach. It is our desire to return smiles and hope to these most honorable and deserving families.

Goals and Objectives

Our focus is to provide a week of "Fun in the Sun" for a family of a fallen or disabled first responder. This respite/vacation will include lodging, meals, reimbursement for travel expenses, various entertainment venues and additional cash for tips and miscellaneous expenses.

Criteria For Possible Candidates

1. Police, Fire Fighter or EMS responders related family.

2. Must be a family that has lost a first responder in the line of duty, or suffered a disability.

3. Candidate should be within driving distance to Myrtle Beach.

4. Candidate must be available for specific timeframe reserved for lodging 5 to 7 days.

Miracle of Hope at the Beach During COVID

The Covid 19 pandemic affected many things over the past year. The Miracle of Hope at the Beach program was no exception. We have, nevertheless, continued to servre those First Responders who so valiantly serve us.  By providing them outstanding  meals at their home base we show our appreciation for the incredible that they do.

However, we are eager to get back to our main mission. That mission is to give families of first responders who have given their lives or have become permanently disabled in the line duty a respite. This is provided in the form of a week at the beach on us.

But our methods of reaching our goals for our guest families will be a little different this year. So many of our local businesses are trying to recover and that makes it difficult to ask them for help. Without question, we know that this is a needed ministry. So we are seeking fifty committed individuals or families to contribute $50.00 each in 2021. This will sponsor a total of five first responder families. Each family of a first responder killed or premenantly disabled in the line of duty will receive a week at the beach including accommodations and spending money. It is one thing to say thank you for what they do. But these families deserve much more then that for their sacrifice. Please help us to show our appreciation to those who gave their all for our safty and wellbeing. You can make a one time $50.00 donation or $10.00 a month for five months. Any donations are helpful and appropriate. Please note on your check that it is for the Hope Project.

I cannot imagine how it feels for your husband, wife, mom, dad, son, daughter, brother or sister to go to work and never come home or come home permanently changed. Please help us help them. Also, we are seeking new souls to expand our program. God calls us all to serve in some way. Sometimes we are even asked to step out of our comfort zone. But what the Lord calls us to do, He will equip us to do. Our task as Christ follows is to promote love, peace, joy and brotherhood. We can do this with your help.

We believe that it is going to be an exciting year of expansion, new ideas, new program members. It's a perfect combination
Please give me a call and lets talk about how God can use your gifts and talents.
