Youth Director
To direct and lead youth programming for Middle School and High School age youth. The Youth Director shall seek to foster Christian community through building relationships with young people that strengthen their commitment to the church and growth in faith in Jesus Christ. The Youth Ministry Coordinator will work hand in hand with the Senior Pastor and Education Committee to help determine vision and overall direction for Youth Ministry.
The Director shall plan and implement age appropriate activities for Middle and High School age youth that promote community through faith development, fellowship and fun. Activities that are essential to the ministry are: study of scripture, participation in praise and worship, prayer, and Christian service. Additional activities that promote community and excitement should also be an important part of the ministry (Trips, Lock-ins, Putt-Putt, etc). They will oversee the recruitment and training of adult volunteers to work with Middle and High School age groups, work with the Finance Committee in preparation of an annual budget for the youth ministry, coordinate fund-raising activities that support special youth activities and trips, and promote Christian service through age appropriate service projects.
This is a part time/salary/based on 20 hours per week.
Education/Skills:
High School Diploma
Prefer college degree in an area related to youth
Experience in leading youth preferred

Child Care
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our church nursery Sunday mornings. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare settings and a passion for fostering the growth and development of young minds. This role involves engaging with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers, while ensuring their well-being and promoting positive behavior.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Provide nurturing care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants and toddlers.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Manage behavior through positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good habits.
- Collaborate with other childcare staff to ensure consistency in care practices.
Skills
- CPR and First aid certification is required and paid for by employer.
- Experience in daycare settings or as a nanny is highly valued.
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide children's actions.
- Proficient caregiving abilities with a focus on infant care and toddler care.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles is advantageous.
- Experience working with children across various age groups is essential.
- Ability to create engaging classroom activities that foster learning through play.

Children's Director
We are seeking a person that is passionate about children ministry. This person shall be responsible for planning, enabling, and implementing a comprehensive program of Christian Education which includes Sunday School, Kids Programming (ages 5 years to 5th grade), and other opportunities for spiritual enrichment and fellowship for children of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Responsibilities
- Have an active relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to see His Kingdom grow. Be a part of the worshiping community of Trinity UMC on a regular basis.
- Work in conjunction with the Committee on Education to plan and implement educational programs and appropriate curriculum materials for children.
- Work with and nurture children’s teachers and volunteers for Sunday School and Wednesday night curriculum. Also organize family activities, such as Fall Fest, Easter egg hunt, Vacation Bible School, and community outreach. Work with children’s leaders and volunteers in activities and programs beyond the local church, i.e. Asbury Hills Summer Camp and Rise Against Hunger.
- Coordinate the planning and implementation of spiritual, educational, recreational, fund raising, and service-oriented activities for youth and children in proper balance for the entire year.
- Attend workshops and seminars and take responsibility for an ongoing training program for teachers and workers.
- Work with the appropriate church leaders to set long range goals and objectives for curriculum, use of educational space, activities and programs.
- Work to make certain that all classes are prepared with a teacher or leader with the proper set up and materials before students arrive. Help to oversee the nursery and sensory room.
- Assist with the formation of new educational groups where needed.
- Work with the Senior Pastor to supply lists of available substitutes for teachers and workers to contact when they are unable to meet their obligations.
- Initiate and maintain and submit communications concerning educational activities and opportunities through regular newsletter/email and/or weekly bulletins, including mail-outs to individuals and groups.
- Attend staff meetings as scheduled and work with other staff members in implementing a holistic church program. Coordinate with the Office Manager for the use of church facilities for meetings and activities.
- Attend the meetings of and prepare reports for the church Administrative Council.
- Oversee appropriate background checks for volunteer workers with children and youth and maintain confidential records of completed background forms and information to copies provided to SPRC Chairman for SPRC files.
